Product Description

This stylish Prem-I-Air chrome pedestal fan with remote control can be fully adjusted to give air movement precisely where you need it, ensuring that you stay as cool as it looks! This fan is particularly quiet and has a timer option which allows you to leave the fan on whilst you go to sleep without having to leave it on all night. You can set the timer to switch off in 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. It also features three speeds and 3 different modes of operation... Rhythm mode will cycle the fan speed between low, medium and high. Sleep mode will decrease the fan speed incrementally every 30 minutes until it reaches its super quiet low speed. Rhythm Sleep mode will run in Rhythm mode until the timer switches the unit off. The fan head can be set to static or oscillating which is controlled from a switch on top of the unit. All other features of the unit can be controlled via the remote control. This makes it ideal for use in bedrooms or lounges as you can control it without having to get up! You won't find a better looking pedestal fan with all these functions at such a great price!

Fantastic Quality5
The quiet motor in this fan has made it the best buy of the summer for me.I have had pervious fans which sounded more like and aeroplane taking off in my bedroom!

This fan can be set on a timer of increments of 1, 2, 4 and 8hrs and comes with a handy remote control, very useful on those hot summer nights.
I also found it very easy to set up (took 20mins) and delivery was within 2 days of placing my order.

Retro fan!4
Got this fan and thought it felt rather cheap, especially rough grill. However, it works very well and I am rather warming to its 1960's "Al's Diner" styling! Quiet and powerful are main good points, plus auto controls for night.

Nice fan, but some assembly issues4
After the recent spell of hot weather we decided to get a new fan to replace our old noisy one. Initially we bought a Honeywell HS-1040RE (not from Amazon). This is a 16" fan on a stand which includes three speeds and a remote. The fan was returned due to it being far too noisy, even on its lowest setting. The Prem-i-Air 16" deluxe stand fan was purchased instead. Overall, this has been a better choice than the Honeywell. It is far quieter even on its highest setting and is powerful enough for our needs. Assembly was relatively easy (but see below) and the fan looks really great finished in chrome. Not cheap and plasticky as you might imagine, but very smart and pleasant to look at. The clear plastic blades help as well. Having a remote to control the fan is also great. You can turn the fan on and off, as well as adjust the speed and select different modes. The fan has a rhythm mode which causes the fan to cycle between low, medium and high modes creating a `breeze' effect. There is also a timer facility allowing you to select from 1, 2, 4 and 8 hours.

My main concern with the fan, however, is the quality of assembly. The main pillar wobbles and creaks a bit in the main base plate. Compared to the Honeywell fan, the Prem-i-Air overall feels more delicate. On my unit, the rear grill didn't sit flush against the main motor front cover. Although the holes machined in the grill to accommodate the pins in the motor cover match the pins OK, the raised curved ridges in the cover simply don't match the openings in the grill. The rear grill screw and bolt was overtightned at manufacture which meant I nearly ended up stripping all the thread off the screw when trying to remove it! Another dissapointment is that there is a noticeable gap between the front and rear grills even after all the fastening clips were closed. Perhaps the grill was slightly damaged during transport. Finally, it would have been nice if Prem-i-air had included the AAA batteries for the remote. A nice touch that wouldn't have cost them too much, these days. Despite these niggles once aseembled the fan operates quietly, looks good and is convenient to use. Well recommended.
