Fantastic Series we thank you for the magic
A wonderful set for chidlren and adults alike. Harry POtter has captivated the world for many years and will do for many in the future. Why bother with the box set? I think it is always good to have a perfect set of books for prosterity and this certainly fits the bill, in our house we have tha dult editions in the study and this set in the library room, this is one of those series where we ahve to eagerly wait til enough time has past so we can read it again.
Below I have suggested some otehr series of books that may delight POtter fans- whatever tehir age:
The Elements of Lore - Volume 1 of The Books of Lore: 1Opens a series of magical books just right for those missing potter
Spiderwick Box Set (Spiderwick Chronicles)The beautfiful illustrations and simple story make everyone into a faerie hunter!
SabrielOpening a fantastic trilogy just right for those cold winter nights.
Wonderful Set!
I was not a HP fan until this past summer when the OOTP movie sold me the story. I borrowed friends' books to ready, beginning from book 1. Then I decided to splurge and got myself the entire set for my own birthday. I must say that I prefer the UK edition more than the US edition. The books are smaller and easier to hold in your hands, and the colorful covers are just fantastic! I still like the US edition from Scholastic, and the cover illustration is wonderful as well. All in all, it's a great present to myself and a definite keeper!
Good enough!!
I live in India. My Sister and I are big fan of HP. We both received a gift set of seven books from our parents, a UK edition by Bloomsbury and a US edition by Scholastic. Both reached me in 4 days and 5 days respectively. I must say I liked the UK edition for the Front and Back covers and the language nonetheless, though I admit the US edition is bigger, much better pages, and higher overall quality. I had previously read the UK edition from library, which had the best page quality and I had expected this to be of same quality, but Instead I got that in US edition! also the paper trunk is a good thing to have.
Though I am, had been and will be a big fan of HP, and I like both the editions. These are the best gifts we had since years.
