The Root of deceit at the Jehovah's Witnesses' heart.
The 'ex JW' confessional is becoming a distinct literary genre. The cult is so peculiar, and so misunderstood, that those, like myself, who have escaped its terrible grip, feel bound to warn the world of its destructive power.

To outsiders it can appear as a harmless, but rather nerdy, organisation of Christian enthusiasts. The smart cheap suits and neat briefcases full of magazines; the innocuous and dull meeting halls where the faithful gather to hear dreary talks, is hardly the stuff of cult based horror stories. There are no blood rites, no bizarre costumes; the whole outfit is an exercise in studied businesslike dullness.

The horror lies in the mental imprisonment. Don Cameron, an ex JW elder, describes in detail the concept which JWs use to ensnare the minds and lives of their members. Roman Catholics are told that their Pope is Jesus Christ's earthly appointee who can trace his lineage to St. Peter himself. Over the centuries RCs have been forced to acknowledge that many Christians do not accept this 'Apostolic' status of the Pope and the Catholic clergy. Hence Catholic priests engage with other christians and those of all faiths and none, on something like an equal basis.

JWs have an analogous delusion. They believe their Governing Body, (11 old men in Brooklyn) are Jehovah God's 'Faithful and Discreet Slave' giving 'meat in due season' as mentioned in St. Matthew's gospel. Further. they believe that all other so called Christians are agents of the Devil and must be shunned. JWs have the ultimate penalty for disobeying this, or any other of their edicts. They wield the death penalty. No, they do not carry out their own executions. Their system of brainwashing is so efficient, that all JWs believe that at the imminent Battle of Armageddon all humanity, bar JWs, will perish in an orgy of destruction, as described in the Book of Revelation, and other nasty bits of the Bible.

Once their minds are captured, JWs refuse to take on trust any pronouncements on any subject, that do not emanate from their Brooklyn HQ. Don Cameron describes not only the nature of this ridiculous, cruel and crazy concept. He also recommends some methods whereby captives may be enlightened and enabled to break free from this most foul organisation.

Valuable insight
This is a specialist publication mainly for all members of the watchtower society known as Jehovah's Witnesses.
I recommend this book to all JW's and X-JW's as it explains the important issues concerning the history of the society that is relevant to the current teachings of the governing body.
Any Jehovah's witness who shuns this opportunity to learn these truths confirms them. Any Jehovah's witness who thinks that seeking the Father through Jesus Christ is the same as their unquestioning obedience to the watchtower society will reap no benifit from this book. For them it would represent disobedience not to God but to the organization that they serve.
Truth exists independent of any human ownership that is why we have to seek it and only when we find it are we set free by it, just as Jesus promised we would be.
