    You Get What You Pay For.5
    At the age of 54 I went fishing for the 1st time with my son who is an experienced fisherman.I deliberatly purchased this inexpensive set with the thought that if I did`nt take to the sport I would pass the kit on to my grandson.
    Well 3 hours and 4 fish later ( including a fiesty 5lb 6oz mirror carp ) I was hooked.
    My son was so impressed with my rod he bought one for himself and like he said this set is good enough for any starter or novice and good enough to have as a back up.
    Experienced fishermen would no doubt look elsewhere and spend a lot more money but as the title say`s You Get What You Pay For.

    I bought this rod abd Reel for my boys b'day and only got rod and reel with no other bits as discribed, if i was in a high street i would take it back tomorrow, yes a very unhappy child i have.

    cheap and handy4
    like most fisherman i have tons of gear but i have lost count of the amount of times when out and about and ive discovered a river or lake where i wished i had some kit with me, now this little set might not be state of the art equipment but i took it on holiday to the czech republic and caught a few double figure carp with it, sure i did change the line to a 5lb mono but everything else was as supplied, its a useful set to have in the car and it all fits into a suitcase (just dont tell the other half mind). the rod is obviously a cheaply made thing but it does what its supposed to do, i have used it to teach a few people how to fish and most have gone on to buy better things, so its recommended
