I've been fortunate enough to go through Cindy's program in San Diego, CA and meet her in person. She's just like her video! Full of energy, positive and in phenomenal shape! Not only did I lose nearly 20 pounds and 9% body fat in 6 weeks, I actually LEARNED HOW TO EAT PROPERLY! I had never been taught how to eat for health and weight control before... I felt as if I had been given THE KEY to staying in shape. Its a magical book because you're learning from somebody who has been there, done that! Cindy was 40 pounds heavier when she first moved to California and she knows exactly how to turn it around. No shortcuts here, just good solid advice and encouragement! One thing that is really important, and Cindy mentions it in her book & her video, is that nutrition is 70% of getting in shape, working out is 30%. Make sure to follow the program for 6 weeks and you will be amazed the change as weight melts off. Little things she's learned over the years have a huge impact on getting fit like drinking more water, eating smaller portions more often, and working out regularly. This is not for the faint of heart or begginner exerciser. It is for a person who is in shape and ready for the next step up. If you are already very fit but ready for perfection, this workout will get you there as long as you do it move for move. I feel like a celebrity when I do this workout because I know that is what it takes to get the body of a celeb. --S George
The exercises are doable and well illustrated. I liked the combos of exercises. The DVD was a nice bonus- It is 20 min, good for days when you don't have alot of time --Tls
About the Author
Cindy Whitmarsh holds a BA in Corporate and Community Fitness. She is an ACE certified instructor, served as Group Exercise manager for Frogs Club from 1995 to 1998 and founded Ultrafit Nutrition Systems in 1997. She has starred in numerous exercise videos and DVDs and is the fitness and nutrition expert for radio and TV media in San Diego.

Ultrafit: Challenging Workouts, Amazing Results
If you're an already fit woman (or man - the instructor is very pretty!) looking for a new dynamic workout, especially to develop core strength, this book is fantastic. I dont normally bother with writing reviews but this book deserves a good one. It's hard to find books aimed at those who already have a good degree of ability/fitness and body awareness. Whitmarsh offers a clear no nonsense approach with just the right amount of tips to maintain safe practice. I am a yoga teacher and have found that her creative and very hard exercises are giving me extra strength/confidence esecially to tackle advanced arm balances with greater ease. Well done Cindy!
