Customer Reviews
wonderful mat
after a fair bit of debating and researching, decided to get this mat in green and was so pleased with my choice that when my yoga place threw it away accidentally, I went straight back and bought another one. Only thing is if you have body cream on your hands really do slip in downward dog etc, but apart from that is a very dry, thick and nice rubber smelling mat. Plus no one else seems to have it so you always know which one is yours!
Sturdy mat
I've been using my Tree Mat for some years now. It's thick, sturdy and reliable and the best part is it's really non-slip unlike other yoga mats, which require an extensive breaking in period.
It is very heavy though so good to just keep in a gym locker or yoga studio, you won't want to carry the mat around with you. It also have a rubbery smell, which hasn't really faded over time but doesn't bother me.
Highly recommended.
Almost Perfect, But Mind Your Feet
This matt is a great size and thickness and gives good support for various yoga positions and practices. It is NOT a workout mat for e.g. doing sit-ups, so please don't buy it for that purpose then leave negative feedback as seems to happen with so many other yoga mats!
The major downside of this matt is how it feels on the skin: it's textured rubber surface give my feet a burning sensation that I normally associate with wearing black shoes on a sunny day, or being in high heels for too long. I don't like doing yoga in socks, but the rubber and my feet don't get on at all. It's also a tad heavier than most mats, but well worth it and hasn't put me off carrying it for the 20min walk to and from my yoga class twice a week.
In summary: great mat, but do consider your feet before purchasing!
