The Christmas Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini
I was quite disappointed with this book. I expected the story line to follow on from the other books, however it just seemed to review some of the stories already covered in the previous books. There was much made of Sarah getting together with her mother giving the impression that this had not occured since she left her home town. Her mother did come to stay with them at Elm Creek for a short while (in a previous book) and although this hadn't brought them together the fact that this seemed to have been forgotten did nothing to help with the storyline. I have not been able to put down the other Elm Creek books until I had finished them, this was not the case with The Christmas Quilt.

Christmas Quilts
Having read Jennifer Chiaverini's previous books and got thoroughly absorbed within them, I was keen to see whether this smaller, more subject specific book would be the same.

It didn't take long to find out, a couple of pages and I was hooked. So much so that I couldn't put it down!

Jennifer gently weaves the spirit of Christmas around each of the characters that we know and love from her previous books.

The traditions of the season and the need for goodwill to others is gently expressed around the story of the Christmas Quilt and it's past.

For anyone with a love of both quilts and Christmas, this is a book not to be missed!
