Customer Reviews

Bright, clear and inspiring!5
This book is extremely useful both as an introduction to techniques that can be applied to machine embroidery and as a source of inspiration. There are many clear, colourful photographs of works which have been created by the author as well as by other artists and designers.

I first found this book in my university library and after renewing it several times, decided to get my own copy and it is well worth it. Topics covered include techniques, materials and how to sort out problems with the machine etc. Very highly recommended to complete beginners as well as those with a little experience but who would like to experiment with creating more effects.

what I didn' know I needed!5
Sometimes somebody has done a great job for you,- like the author of this book. Putting together knowledge about techniques, illustrative pictures, with a free spirit and a very unlimited view about what might be consideded "machine embroidery" topics. I love this book. I can browse trough it looking for inspiration (thanks to the many pictures), I have read it from beginning to end, and I can use it as an encyclopedia, searching for specific information.
I learned a lot about textile- art techniques, about what a normal and adavced machine can do for you, about different products that I might or might not want to experiment with, and about all the stuff that I would like to know more about in the future! Highly recomended for both the curious and the professional!

Encyclopedia of Machine Embroidery5
This book is an excellent source of ideas and information. It has inspired me to try different techniques with my sewing machine, and adds to the fun of owning it. It is also the kind of book you can dip into for help and advice, down to earth and easy to follow. i am very glad I bought it.
