Manufacturer's Description
Millions of passengers each year traverse the globe using many of the major airlines. Now you too can join the airliner service by piloting one of the biggest and most exciting air-passenger planes in the world - the new Fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
For those of you who want to climb into the cockpit and fly this exciting aircraft now, we had one of our top developers, Tolga Piskin painstakingly create the Boeing 787 Dreamliner for FS2004 and FS2002. From the outset, the Boeing 787 was designed to carry close to 300 people a distance of up to 8,500 nautical miles.
In addition to the strikingly handsome outer aircraft, you'll take notice of the interior including full 3D virtual cockpit. The special instrumentation includes a customized Flight Management Computer (FMC) similar to what is found in the real thing and complete easy-to-follow documentation to learn how to use it. The FMC works with the Flight Simulator's built-in Flight Planner and allows you to fly virtually hands-off except for take-off and landing.This package also includes a series of flights for you to fly that represent authentic passenger routes and schedules.
Customer Reviews
The curates egg
Like the curates egg it was good in parts. I liked the option which allowed you to load the FMC with pre set plans but thought the manual and the on screen instructions lacked clarity. Compared with the other sims I have this promised much but failed to deliver. The ASI failed to register, which may be my fault and I look forward to any useful advice. As yet First class helpline has failed to help!
great
really good but sometimes the autopilot goes for a wander and you have to turn the avionics or master batt off to fix.
crashed a few times when ive told it to descent to an altitude and it just keeps descending
Good idea let down by poor execution
Installation is problem free, however once in game you realize that its not a very polished product, some of the textures in the virtual cockpit and other views look awful (e.g. pilot chairs, autopilot console). However the outside model is nice to look at but what really lets it down is the sound, they are so muted & dull, it just doesn't get your juices flowing.
Pro's:
* Nice outside 3D Model.
* Installs without issue.
Con's
* Half-hearted attempt at interior graphics.
* Lack-luster sounds.
Conclusion:
Save yourself some money and don't buy this, wait for someone else to release a better example (e.g. PMDG), or wait until it comes down (alot) in price then go download some better sounds and get busy tweaking .cfg files.
