From the Author
The history of Checklist for Success
The first edition of Checklist for Success was published in 1994. I have updated it each year.

I worked as an Independent Consultant to the Air Line Pilots Association from 1990 to 1994. During this time I presented the same Pilot Interview Preparation Program you can find in Checklist to displaced ALPA pilots from PanAm, Midway, TWA, USAirways, Air Wisconsin, just to name a few. ALPA still purchases a copy of Checklist for each of their displaced pilot members. Checklist is used as a textbook at several aviation colleges including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Checklist has sold over 15,000 copies through pilot reader referral. I know you will find it a valuable tool when preparing for the competitive professional pilot interviewing process.

Customer Reviews

Checklist helped me get my airline pilot job.5
After attending several pilot interviews and not being offered a position a friend suggested I read Checklist for Success. This book gave me great insight into what I was doing wrong! This book helped me learn to talk about myself in a very specific way which allowed the interviewer to learn about me. I recommend this book to anyone going to any type of pilot interview.

A great help4
While the information this book provides seems common knowledge when reading it, nevertheless, much of what is written would be ignored, forgotten or answered incorrectly otherwise. I have to admit I was skeptical of these kinds of publications before I brought it, but having done so, I hate to think what my interviews would have been like had I not.

The key advantage of this book is it is designed for airline pilots, unlike other interview technique guides focussed for the corporate sector.
Would absolutely reccomend for anyone seeking their first, second, third airline job, or anyone seeking sponsorship.

Logical Advice5
The book presents advice, the majority of which is very logical having read it. The layout I found to be well structured and advice given good. I haven't as of yet attended any pilot interviews but can do so now with a greater knowledge of what is expected.
