Wonder boy does it again !5
Imagine Latin rhythms, Tijuana trumpet, South American Guitar and fine orchestration. Now overlay all of that with what's arguably the best tenor voice in the world singing classic boleros, rancheras, tangos and other South American songs and you're right there. This is great fun and demonstrates the flexibility that Juan Diego has as well as his consumate musianship - he's arranged many of the tracks himself. He started singing this stuff with his Dad apparently, before he discovered opera, so it's back to his roots on this CD, and I'm so glad that he decided to take us back there with him. Great recording, fabulous voice - if you like the lad's usual repetoire you'll love this - it's completely different and you're in for a surprise - and a thoroughly pleasant one at that. If you've never heard him sing then buy it anyway - you'll be hooked and no doubt go onto explore his other stuff.

Nothing like a bit of passion in your life!4
Normally a Baroque type gal, I went slightly off piste with this one! I am so glad I did as well! Nothing like a bit of Latin passion to spice things up in your life! A very energetic and, dare I say it again, passionate album! Play it with the speakers turned up full blast, all your windows open and possibly a glass of red in your hand!
