About the Author
WENDY COOLING was educated in Norwich. After travelling, she became a teacher which she later left to work as Head of the Children's Book Foundation. She is now a freelance book consultant and reviewer. Among the authors included in this anthologyare Philippa Pearce, Paddy Kinsale and Catherine Storr.

A wonderful travelling companion
An excellent collection of diverse stories narrated by top actors. My son absolutely adores this tape and giggles uncontrollably every time he hears the story about making pancakes, we now smile in anticipation of his mirth when we put it in the tape deck. Many others have also become firm favourites including the Martian in the Supermarket and the story about Anna-Magdalena being afraid of the dark. Highly recommended for long car journeys when tapes/CDs are often repeated.

Stories for 6 year olds
Great value for money - 2 discs. My 4yr old son listens to one and my 7yr old girl listens to the other one at bedtime. really fun stories.

Great for Bedtime
My 7 year old Granddaughter listens to this C D constantly I am not sure that she hears all of it as she has it on at bedtime.
