Editorial Reviews

CD Description
'Crystal Visions' is a collection of songs that spans threedecades worth of work by solo artist and former Fleetwood Mac member Stevie Nicks. The album includes remastered and live versions of tracks that weren't included on 1991's best of 'Timespace'. Classic hits such as 'Edge Of Seventeen', 'Stand Back', 'Dreams' and a raucous live version of Led Zeppelin's 'Rock And Roll'all feature. A comprehensive and endearing overview of Nick's work. This is a must for all Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac fans. Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac fans. Nicks and Fleetwood Mac fans.

Hit and Miss3
Will we ever get a definitive Stevie Nicks best of? This package is hit and miss. There are the big hit singles "Edge Of Seventeen"; "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" ;"Leather and Lace" ;"Talk To Me" ;"Rooms on Fire" and "Stand Back" (the 1982 version), along with some newer additions from her 2001 album "Trouble in Shangri La" in the form of "Sorcerer" and one of the best songs Nicks has ever recorded - the spiteful "Planets of the Universe".
The letdown here is the versions of her classic Fleetwood Mac songs, aswell as the that have been strangely ommited. "Gypsy" and "Sara" arent included despite being two of her biggest and most loved songs. "Dreams" the DeepDish remix is favoured here instead of the original."Landslide" recorded in Australia isnt the best live version recorded and vocally Stevie is not on great form sounding far to nasal on the low notes. "Rhiannon" also recorded live is one of the best performances of the song i've heard. "Silver Springs" is the only track presented here in its original Fleetwood Mac form and remains her golden nugget. "Edge Of Seventeen" is included twice on the record, the second as a live track which isnt a great performance and could have easily been kept off. "Rock" and Roll" is the fourth live track here and a cover of the classic Led Zeppelin track which Stevie sings very well.
"If Anyone Falls" "I Can't Wait" are also here, but "Beauty and the Beast" and "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" are strangely omitted.
I just hope that one day we get a definitve best of featuring all her solo hits along with her classic Fleetwood Mac tracks presented as their original versions.

Now here i go again i see the crystal vision (Dreams)5
Another Best of from Stevie the poet. What makes this different from Timespace 1991 is the cd is more modern and updated with tracks from the Trouble in Shangri-La album 2001. It starts and finishes with Edge Of Seventeen, but among its sixteen tracks Stevie includes two live from 2005 Rhiannon and Rock And Roll, yes Stevie sings Led Zeppelin! plus two live from Australia in 2006 Landslide and Edge of Seventeen (With the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra). Including the same track twice will appease and annoy some fans but personally i like the two versions. Also included is Dreams (with Deep Dish ) a 2005 club mix which turned out to be a dance floor success. The cd is not a greatest hits it is exactly what it says a very best of.

Not the most complete Nicks3
Do what I did - buy the 'Enchanted' set and 'Trouble in Shangri-La' and you'll have the best of everything she's done to date.
