Editorial Reviews

CD Description
Fronted by the iconic Debbie Harry, Blondie were pioneeringin the American punk and new-wave movements, although they failed to achieve mainstream success in their own country until the release of their third album, the seminal 'Parallel Lines'. Although they were a punk band, Blondie achieved such widespread success due to their strong pop sensibilities, as can be heard in the hit singles, 'Heart Of Glass', 'Denis' and 'One Way Or Another'.

Greatest Hits Plus4
I'm in two minds about this compilation.

On the one hand it's got all the Blondie hits from the 70s/80s. It's got the b-sides, which means some tracks not on albums and some album tracks. So all in all a nice mixture.

On the other hand if what you're after are the hits and nothing else then you're better off with the Greatest Hits set (there's one available with a DVD of the videos included !!!)

Overall if you're after the hits and an introduction to some of their other material you can do a lot worse than this compilation. Though the compilation CD "Blonde And Beyond" is better for the rarities (if you can get hold a copy)
