For the serious
Great reference guide, but not for gentle family outings. When Nick Cotton refers to a "short tricky rocky section", take climbing ropes! Great book, well written, maps are ok but take proper OS versions with you.

Maybe contains a few too many photos which show energetic people having a good time, but add nothing to help you following the trail.

Get fit to follow these trails rather than vice versa.

Nicely presented
The routes are well presented. The routes can be a bit weird at times and lack season notes e.g. Cothelstone Hill on the Quantocks can be unridably muddy in the winter months. I still use it though so it's quite good really.
