This charming little book opens with an alphabetical list of the recipes contained within.
Each recipe opens with the title, a note, the list of ingredients along with the method.
Metric Conversion tables are given on the last page before a complete list of the titles in the Salmon series on the inside back cover.

Interspersed with sepia photographs, my particular favourite being of:-
`St Michael`s Mount, from Mousehole`, alongside a tasty recipe for:-
`Star Gazey Pie' - `this renowned Cornish pie is particularly linked with Mousehole.
The name derives from the way the fish heads overlap the sides of the dish and point heavenwards.'

`June Kittow was born in Penzance and brought up in Upton Cross, on the south-eastern border of Bodmin Moor. After attending school in Liskeard she qualified as a teacher at Fishponds Training College in Bristol.
She taught in Launceston for several years before marrying into another old Cornish family.'
