Customer Reviews
If you buy one Reflexology book let it be this.
Nicola Hall trained with Doreen Bayly in 1977 a pupil of the pioneer of Reflexology Eunice Ingham. Nicola Hall then took over as Director of her school and became the Chairman of the British Reflexology Association. What better qualifications could you have to write a book on this fascinating and amazing complementary therapy.
I am currently training as a Reflexologist and am therefore always searching bookshelves for reads on the subject. There are many glossy picture books available but I have yet to find another book to live up to the content of this one, other than perhaps some of Nicola Hall's other books.
The book starts with an in depth look at the history of Reflexology. The reflex areas of both feet and hands (no need to buy that separate hand reflexology book)are then looked at in great detail, several charts are shown and each reflex point in turn has a paragraph devoted to it. There is then a chapter on how to give a Reflexology treatment.
The book then turns into an invaluble guide to 100 different disorders and guidance on how to treat them. It then goes onto a chapter of over twenty case studies which if you thought Reflexologist's are away with the fairies then these will convert you.
Other hidden extras are the sections on foot and hand care and other treatments involving the feet and hands.
This book will be your best friend as it is mine from the beginning to the end of your reflexology journey.
Dissapointment
As a student of reflexology I had heard that Nicola Hall is THE main lady in this field.
I was slightly disappointed with this book as I thought it may give me all the answers I wanted, but it doesn't.
I found it very sketchy and was alarmed that no research was given to back up the literature.
It does have some good foot maps for reference.
excellent
excellent, just what i needed for my reflexology course, well worth the money, quick dispatch and next day delivery, thanx
