a very useful training aid
As an Academy Coach, the principles in this book, especially from the UK and European based coaches, provided additional training drills and ssd game progressions. This book would benefit coaches of good standard youth teams as a certain level of player understanding is needed.

Learn it Like a Pro!!
I manage a Youth football team (U18's) and am an FA Level 1 coach. I am always looking for new ideas to develop the lads but don't have a lot of spare time because of my job. Sitting on flights and in airports, reading is a good way for me to keep abreast of new techniques and experiences. This book analyses the training sessions of top teams and coaches and is a "must buy" for devotees of the game. It is easy to read, well set out and covers key points in an easy to understand format. Lessons are clearly spelled out and illustate that even the top teams concentrate on basic techniques. I particularly liked the encouragement to develop your own individual drills from basic concepts. Great value for money and an enjoyable reference text.
