Not what i expected
Quite a large book covering a large number of models, most of them i have never heard of! Not surprising really as i am not a serious collector. The book gives a brief history to most model brands and lists models and scales and a valuation in dollars. Not a great deal of pictures in the book and not too easy to use with making a valuation unless you really know what you have in terms of model numbers and model title name etc. I have found it very useful in terms of 'Matchbox' cars but other than that i think it would appeal more to serious collectors and not so much to those who are just 'interested/curious' if you get my drift. Overall i don't feel cheated and i would say it was good value for money.

Excellent overview of ALL diecast cars ever made
This book is not a complete listing of any single make of diecast car (although it does come close for a few makes) but rather a list of all diecast manufacturers that have ever existed with a representative sampling of prices and photos.
