Product Description

'Toast. You know when you're trying to make it and you just can't get it right? It's too light or too soft, then totally burnt. Do you try to scrape off the black? Do you throw it away or do you just eat it? Up until now, I ate the burnt toast ! then I hit forty.' The best-selling inspirational memoir from your favourite desperate housewife. It took Teri Hatcher a divorce, the experience of single motherhood, a parade of bad dates, a stalled career and a memorable fortieth birthday to realize that she didn't want to spend another decade preparing herself for the next disaster. Burnt Toast is the heartfelt, funny, poignant and inspiring account of Teri's jagged route to happiness. Teri reveals her life in unexpected ways, in the hopes of keeping other women from eating the burnt toast, and explains why you'll never get a second chance if you don't open yourself up to the possibility.

I'd like to toast Teri Hatcher!4
Teri is written a funny, honest, entertaining and moving book with some real pearls of wisdom in its pages. At its core is a message: if you're happy, it doesn't follow that you make someone else unhappy. If you refuse the burnt toast, it doesn't mean someone else has to eat it. Simple, but we need to be reminded of this and Ms Hatcher does it without preaching (well OK she does preach a bit but we hardly notice and she always apologises for it). I was captivated by this real page-turner and I felt I'd learned something from it - quite a lot in fact. I'd recommend it to you. Cheers, Teri!

Fantastic read to make you think5
I loved, LOVED this book. Its good to know that even someone as rich and famous as Teri Hatcher has to agonise over the simplest of things. Its funny, honest and at times forces you to do some much needed soul searching for your own happiness and then shift your expectations. Definitly something I would recommend to people who find even simple things that life throws at them difficult to accept and deal with. It certainly help change the way i think and feel. Well done Teri, its certainly a fantastic read that makes you think that much deeper.
