Customer Reviews

A great game for starting out as a chess player5
This is a fun game which has by eight year old son completely hooked. My son has been playing chess for about 4 months and I got him this game to encourage practice and so he would spend less time on non-educational games.

The game is easy to use and is not as stiff and boring as other chess training games. It does not just teach the moves and expect the player to copy them. Instead it teaches chess in a number of challenging sub-games which allow the player to build up the skills that they need. It must be doing my son some good as he is now playing for the Lancashire Under 9's team.

Fritz & Chester Chess Game on DS5
Bought this for my daughter (age 9) who loves to play chess but sometimes forgets some of the moves. This is great as it allows them to think they are playing a game rather than actually learning anything (children seem to have the ability to learn games better than their homework!). Very clear instructions and good educationally.

Best chess game5
The best chess game out there. I bought it for my 7 yr old son. It's the fisrt game that im happy to see my son play with so much enthousiasm. Its not only fun, but also a great way to train your brain. Good for the adult player who wants to learn how to play chess.
