It does what it says on the tin. It's bouncy (yes I have tested with some pretty hefty bounces) I wouldn't try to blow it up with your own lung power. You won't last long. I wouldn't take it hiking either (not for backpacking) it's pretty heavy. Take it camping if you can chuck it in the back of the boot. Put your granny on it if she stays the night (and you don't have a spare bed) She'll be quite comfy.

The airbed was easy to put up and very comfortable to sleep on, you may need to pump it up a little bit after a few days though as it did seem softer than when we first inflated it. Very happy overall good value for money.
