A cargo ship is apprehended by the authorities off the coast of Spain, loaded to the gunwales with enough arms and ammunition to start a war. Twenty years later, an unknown aggressor seems intent on eradicating those responsible for the treachery, one by one. The last victim was brutally tortured with a Black & Decker drill, then shot through the head. And Nick Stone - ex-SAS, tough, resourceful, ruthless, highly trained - is next on the killer's list ...In his most daunting mission yet, Nick Stone must find a man who shared that past, and who may know more about the present threat than he is prepared to reveal. As the two find themselves pursued across sea and desert, they become ever more enmeshed in a deadly network of betrayal, to which Stone himself unwittingly holds the key. And in a final confrontation that echoes his worst nightmares, only he can stop the unthinkable and save the lives of those he holds most dear.

About the Author
Andy McNab joined the infantry as a boy soldier. In 1984 he was 'badged' as a member of 22 SAS Regiment and was involved in both covert and overt special operations worldwide. During the Gulf War he commanded Bravo Two Zero, a patrol that, in the words of his commanding officer, 'will remain in regimental history for ever'. Awarded both the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) and Military Medal (MM) during his military career, McNab was the British Army's most highly decorated serving soldier when he finally left the SAS in February 1993. He wrote about his experiences in three books: the phenomenal bestseller Bravo Two Zero, Immediate Action and Seven Troop. He is the author of the bestselling Nick Stone thrillers. Besides his writing work, he lectures to security and intelligence agencies in both the USA and UK. He is a patron of the Help for Heroes campaign. www.andymcnab.co.uk

11 and still not out!! Brilliant read.
For fans of the `Stone` series this is a must. The series is still as strong as ever and hasnt lost any of its sparkling action. As far as thrillers go this was very good. the story has plenty of violent action including an old Regiment buddy being tortured with a Black and Decker drill, before being shot in the head....nice! Seriously though the characters were deep and enthralling, keeping your interest all the way through. There was enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and plenty of action. The series has not lost any sparkle as yet and the plots remain fresh and exciting. If you enjoy Lee Child`s Jack Reacher books then this will please you. I`m a series fan and enjoy Child and Michael Connelly books immensely, if you like Special Forces, terroist kind of thrillers read the 18th Brigade, Blister and the `Soft Target` trilogy of books by Conrad Jones they are Special forces based and are real shockers.Blister (Soft Target Series) They are unputdownable!! The new Chris Ryan book is his best for years too. Back to the review, ten out of ten.
Another blinding book.
I bought this book the other day and i started reading it as always with McNab his books spring to life in the first few pages. As for the content it is well worth a read for those budding McNab fans out there that have followed the life and troubles of the famous character Nick Stone. It was well worth the wait and hopefully Stone will continue to be the focal of McNabs books
Awesome
Same as usual- amazing!
After reading McNab's tenth book, Crossfire, I was looking forward to reading the new addition to his Nick Stone series. Like the other 10 books, Stone is in the thick of it, possibly to do with his actions in Crossfire. This is a typical McNab book: full of action. This book is a really enjoyable book. Stone goes from country to country trying to find out who is trying to kill him. It's well worth a read. A must have for McNab fans
