Time to buy
I've had this watch for almost a year now and it still looks as good as new and keeps excellent time. The combination of hands and digital display works very well - I find myself glancing at the hands for a rough time check, and using the LCD if I'm late for my train! It has a slightly smaller face than a lot of the very chunky G-shocks so suits a narrow wrist fine. (It's black by the way, though it looks blue in the photo).

Adjusting the time (the hands have to be adjusted separately to the digital time) and setting the alarm can be a bit fiddly - but as my phone is never far away I use that for the alarm.

All the usual G-shock features, (plus multiple time zones) excellent build quality, durability, a nice blue light and comfortable strap make this a great all-rounder that I'm very happy with and probably will be for a while yet...

** Update. A year on (Dec 2008)and it's still going strong and looking as good as ever. At approx forty pounds now, it's still a good buy **

G-Shock
I received this watch two days after placing the order WoW.It is a pressie for my partner and im very impressed and am sure he will be. It looks great and has lots of cool features on for him to play with. Which is good for him as he loves gadgets. All in all do not hesitate to buy its excellent value and believe me ive looked everywhere.

Having owned this watch for over two years now, I think a shining review is way past due.

Aside from being (in my mind) one of the best looking G-Shock watches, it also packs some really good features. The digital display can be toggled through all timezones without affecting the analogue dial. I find this really useful when traveling (especially on business) when I may be hopping between numerous timezones in the space of a few days and need to be aware of the time in more than one country.

The watch comes with 4 independent recurring alarms, Indiglo (or Casio equivalent) backlight, stopwatch, countdown timer etc. etc.

Back to aesthetics, I like the uncluttered face of this G-Shock, as well as the analogue hands, and the size of the case. I wanted a good size, rugged watch, but didn't want something massive, and this gets it just right for me at 5'10" / 12 Stone. However, why would you care what I like watch to look like?

To sum up, if you're in the market for a G-Shock, or any sports watch, and like the look of this one, buy it. It's definitely not lacking in features, and you won't see it everywhere. In the last couple of years, I've only ever seen this watch once on someone elses wrist.
