great little snapper
Ok, there will be better cameras out there, I'm sure, but this is great for a number of reasons:

- very small and can fit in any pocket just like a wallet(I travel a lot taking snaps so fantastic!)
- excellent start-up an shutter lag times (never miss a shot)
- excellent quality (both the camera itself and photo quality)
- video shooting so easy and good quality
- so easy to use
- decent battery life and quick charge time (1-2 hrs) with the included charger

Ok, so I am a convert. I am just a snapper, but this fits the bill of being small, decent battery, quick charge and easy to use and feels 'robust'. I like Sony products. My last Sony digital camera is 5 years old and is till going strong depite being dropped and dragged around the world several times over (no exageration!).

If you have the money to spend on this little beauty then go for it. If you can afford a 2MB memory stick duo pro then you have a marriage made in heaven for all your snaps!

I'd recommend purchasing a screen protector as the display screen will get scratched in time without one. Pity Sony don't just include this, but you can purchase on-line.

You can also purchase a waterproof sports pack that will enable you to take the camera into water and even go snorkling. It works a treat!

Perhaps not for the 'semi' professionals or perfectionists of you out there as it's a simple camera, but, yes, I am pleased with my choice.

Compact masterwork from Sony
A few years ago I bought a Cybershot DSC9 which served me very well, but recently I decided it was time for an upgrade and after some extensive research, a few months ago, I saw that Sony were about to release the T9. Being a bit of a gadget-head and having enjoyed using the DSC9 as well as having found it easy to use, I kept an eye on the release date for the T9. I looked at and compared others like the Canon IXUS range, the Coolpix 7900 and others, but when the review of the T9 was finally released, and having looked at one in the flesh, I knew the T9 was the way forward.

I have to say it is superb. Easy to use, superfast start up, lots of options and effects, but nothing too nerdy or techie. Battery lasts for ages and it is possibly the sexiest compact I've ever seen. The picture quality is excellent and the steadyshot actually makes a difference. One great new feature is the brilliant slide show which adds pre-programmed effects and music in playback mode when viewing photos.

You've need to get at least a 512MB Memory Stick Duo Pro, but that should be more than enough. The T9 also has a small internal memory as well, but still buy the Mem Stick.

great camera, great pictures, tiny size...

i got the black one and it's awesome.

i don't really need 6mp, but i tried a few shots and i could zoom in and read car number plates that were 100's of yards away, that i couldn't see with the naked eye...

i'm only realy interested in basic "vga" or 1mp shots..."party shots" as i call them...but when you take wildlife or pictures of flowers in 6mp, they look awesome.

great build quality, great products, DAM Sony should pay me for this!
