Customer Reviews
Disappointed - Based on actual game, not demo.
When I first tried the Demo on the PSN network I loved it, the style, the action, the grind house feel. It was fantastic. So I was eager to get the game. I managed to get an early release copy of it and honestly I'm disappointed.
The action gets repetitive very quickly, the graphics I was not bothered by in the demo however after prolonged exposure they started to grate on me. The acrobatic side is clunky and not as well set out as I had hoped (Prince of Persia style). In fact the whole game feels disjointed.
However there are some redeeming features, there are cinema adverts at times in the game that really add to the grind house feel, the music is fantastic and the overall style is redeeming. The only reason I'm continuing to play it is due to the fact that I enjoy the style. Now I may be disappointed purely because the demo gave me such high hopes however I think they had all the elements of a great game sitting there and they just couldn't put them together.
I really wanted to enjoy this thoroughly, and it's a shame I couldn't.
Disapointing
Wet in a word i would describe it as repetitive, i thought it looked good kind of a modern crazy prince of persia with guns, but its no where near as good as prince of persia. The game shows all it has too offer far to early in the game and leaves the rest as repetitive with nothing more to unlock but gun essentially. So the gameplay is grindy and i find at times a little laggy, i know they are going for a gritty tarentino feel with the style but the developers have sacrificed the gameplay aspects too much for the style of it. The filter of grey brown and the lines of the 70's style film are good to begin with but just become agitating after a while. The dialogue and variety of the levels are the main redeeming factors of the game and i must say that they are well done but overall its feels like a let down.
Overall i would give it a 5/10 because its just all about style and it fills a select little niche that i am not a part of unfortunately.
really enjoyable flick
This game is really good and worthy of anybodys collection it really is.I dont understand how it can get bad reviews ok the graphics aint the best but the gameplay is really good with different variety of levels and it doesnt get boring. The characters are colourful and the game spans accross the whole globe with ruby going from london to hong kong. All in all this game is well put together and is difficult enough to keep you intrested all of the time.Trust me this is a good shooter recommend!
