Not a complete waste of time
I have had one of these for eighteen months and find it useful for tasks where I have to kneel for some time - eg planting out or weeding. The handles are particularly useful for getting up which is usually the problem for elderly knees!I have also developed a "qick adjustment manouver" where I rise halfway and quickly hitch the kneeler sideways.
