garmin case
There are a few cases around for the wide Garmin sat navs, and from reading reviews I think there has been some confusion about the products.
This case is leather with a sleeve that folds over to close it. There are two magnets concealed in the leather to hold the sleeve shut - a definite plus. There are others available which are plastic, and don't have anything to hold them closed, or are open ended. Seems to be the main gripes about the others.
I have the Garmin 255wt and the case is slightly too large - not a snug fit (another problem with the plastic cases). However, as the magnets hold it shut this isn't a problem, plus the case arrived with 2 foam pieces inside to hold the shape. The small piece can be left in behind the sat nav to fill the gap, so not visible and stops any movement.
I am pleased to have bought this one, as only marginally more (a few pence), and sat nav can't fall out.

Not needed
Garmin supply in the box a high quality leather case, I ordered one of these flip type on the strength of other reviews and wish I hadn't. This product although you can use your satnav when walking around, doesn't tightly fit the sat nav, if you packed it out it would be a nightmare to keep getting your satnav out to put in holder, when cover is openned it could fall out, the leather quality is poor and not very well made when matched against garmins.

Excellent for Nuvi 765t
This case fits my Garmin Nuvi 765t perfectly. It allows the device to be operated when in the case, fitting securely, yet all you have to do to remove your unit is to have the flap open and tilt it back, letting it slide out into your hand (it slides slowly, so is perfectly safe).
I would certainly recommend this product over the official garmin nuvi carry case if you have a 765t, as the official case is a far too tight a fit for that model.
Mine had a duragadget polished steel badge on the flap which made it look a bit like a grany's purse, but it looks good all the same, and I haven't seen a better case out there.
