Customer Reviews

excellent battery shaver5
As a long time user of a mains braun shaver i was hesitant to buy a cheap battery shaver, however when the braun finally bit the dust,I read the previous review, and thought i would give it a try.It runs very happily on 2 aa rechargeable batteries that are the same as my digital camera, gives a excellent shave, there is a philips 2yr warranty, and the shave gets better after a week or two. There is no long hair trimmer, but inspite of this its a definite thumbs up from me.

Good thing for commuters5
For the last ten years I've used a blade and have used a three head shaver. I now commute to work by bike and leave this at the office.
The shave is very good. None of the redness that I used to have with my old three head shaver. I've used it every day for the last two weeks and the batteries are still fine. If your considering changing to a Philips shaver why not try this for a tenner before taking the plunge with a more expensive model. Give your skin the chance to adjust though and don't dismiss this product if the first shave is not what you expect, after a week the quality of the shave has improved. Recommended

Great Value5
I bought one on a whim, then another, and then an HQ6695. I had not used Philishave for years but found this little HQ40 amazingly good for its price and fits neatly in the pocket. I was surprised how slowly the cutters rotated but how well they cut and the smooth finish.....so all in all, a very good buy at this price and a change to test drive the Philishave rather than get suckered into over-priced electronic-laden gadgets which really have exactly the same task as this little thing: to shave and leave a smooth finish on a man's face.....I do not know why shavers are getting to the £100 mark when televisions cost less
