Twofers
Must haves for any fans of Sedaka's. These two albums presented here as a twofer, represent Sedaka's renaissance.
Organic and straight from the heart, some wonderful tunes worthy of a remaster and re-release.
I hope the rest of his catalogue follows suit, please!
Turning back on time
Emergence/Solitaire
Had these two albums when they were first released on vinyl and now I can re-live all the much loved but never forgotten music. All the tracks here never age and can relate to everyone. Perfection in every note. I can recommend this collection 100%.
Rock'n'Roll but not with sex and drugs
When you're like Neil Sedaka you don't get books written about you because you're too normal.Ditto Gene Pitney who Sedaka demoed IT HURTS TO BE IN LOVE for.
His 70s comback -like another great man of High School Pop-Tony Orlando--took place in both here and in the States where he was on a roll after STANDING ON THE INSIDE-he had 2 No 1s as a writer with the Captain & Tenille and no less than Elton John rooting for him when singles appeared on his Rocket label.
BAD BLOOD saw Sedaka himself at the top in America and regular albums came every other year.
Though mainly a writer of his own songs with Howard Greenfield nad later Philip Cody-he did his share of covers many times getting the original artists of the song in on bvs.
Possibly Neil Sedaka is the biggest success story of the 20th Century
