Confusion then clarity
This book is the closest description that I have found so far of what it feels like, physically and emotionally, to be in love with someone and not realise that you are, until you eventually work it out. It's the start of realising that she's gay for Lissa, the main character, and it was the start for me too.
This is a brilliant story about coming out as a lesbian teenager. The only thing that knocked a star off the five stars for me was Lissa's experimenting with lucid dreaming - a bit too airy fairy for my tastes. But all in all, a great read.
Teen wrestling with identity.
It was just a Kiss. Kate and Lissa were best friends. Then one night last summer at a drunken party, Kate leaned in to kiss Lissa, and Lissa kissed her back. Now Kate is pretending Lissa doesn't exist. Confused and alone, Lissa's left questioning everything she thought she knew aboutherself, and about life. But with the help of a new friend, Lissa is beginning to relize that sometimes falling in love with the wrong person is the only way to find your footing.
