Manufacturer's Description
Timex uses technology introduced to the industry in its quest to bring practical technology to the sports industry. The Sleek collection is the culmination of nearly two decades of technological and aesthetic refinement to the Ironman line of watches. With a combination of advanced features, new and easier to read displays with oversize digits and bold, aerodynamic designs, the Sleek line stands out as the evolutionary leader among performance sport wrist instruments.

The Timex advanced watch has a selection of integrated polyurethane and infinitely adjustable Fast Wrap straps. The Ironman Triathlon is a favourite of athletes for recording lap times. When using the chronograph stopwatch, the press of a button will mark an interval of time. To time how long it takes to run a leg of a marathon, swim a length of a pool, or bike to the next telephone pole, by recording a "lap." The chronograph continues to run, allowing the mark and instant view of up to 50 laps that can be reviewed at the end of each exercise session.

    Ideal for races and training5
Bought this watch for my boyfriend after he bought me the womens version. If you're looking for a simple watch for timing laps and races it is great. It also has other useful features such as the ability to set different alarms, set a timer and set two times (useful if you go abroad and want to switch between home and local times quickly). The buttons are easy to press without the watch being too bulky. I would definately recommend this watch.

Solid performer let down by poor buttons3
Have had this watch for about two months, and in that time have used it while training in the pool, throughout a sprint triathlon and every day for general use.

It's a great watch: the display is nice and clear, the modes are easy to use and the interval timer in particular is a great tool - I use it for lots of interval-based training, including timing 25m lengths in the pool: the beep is audible in the water, which is really helpful.

The only things that let it down, really, are the buttons - and they let it down fairly significantly. Because they are so integrated into the side of the watch, you don't have a tactile sense of when you are pushing them or just the side of the watch. In addition, it's too easy to press the buttons accidentally - you can do it with a heavy sleeve! Not that that's going to be a problem during an event, or anything more than a minor irritation in everyday use.

The final thing about the buttons that lets the watch down - and this is what drops it down from 4-5 stars to a mere three - is the fact that the instructions say "don't press the buttons while it's submerged if you want it to keep working" (I'm paraphrasing, but that's effectively it). Sorry, but it's not a waterproof watch if you can't press the buttons underwater without risk.

What a shame. I really like this stylish and versatile watch and want to give it more stars, but feel duty-bound to mark it down on the waterproof issue.

    Excellent wantch for runners....5
I love this watch - it's about the 4th in this series I've had over the years.

Great feature set (3 alarms, 2 time zone, stopwatch and reps/countdown timer), it is only let down by the plastic strap - it only seems to last a couple of years before breaking (maybe the sweat ??)
