Gene Pitney 3CD A Platinum Collection - A Must Have For Pitney Collector
When first reading of this new release from Australia there appeared to be nothing the Pitney collector didn't already have but when playing the CDs there are two unreleased versions that are a must for a true Pitney Collecor, 'A Street Called Hope' is a from a different master, An early take of the song which I have never heard before, 'Animal Crackers' also is from an original master which I understand no other label has put out, only from the original 45, There is no harmony added from Gene on this version making it an early take of this song, Again which I have never come across. So this is a must for the Pitney collector looking for different versions and as a bonus they are good quality recordings. I am very pleased to find on this set something different that excites me, As a collector for many years is doesn't often happen so well done to EMI Australia.
