Product Description

Take your first steps into the wilderness with Rusty the house cat as he leaves his home to go and live in the wild. A thrillling new feline fantasy series that draws you into a vivid animal world. When 'kittypet' Rusty strays into the forest beyond his owner's garden and is ambushed by a wild cat, life as he knows it is over. After a brave fight, he is invited to leave the 'twoleg' world and join Thunderclan, one of four cat tribes, to train as a warrior. Rusty becomes Firepaw and learns laws of the wild -- hunting and fighting to protect the clan's survival. When the fearsome Shadowclan threaten Thunderclan's territory his warrior skills are put to the test. But how can he protect the clan when he suspects their own deputy of trechery?

Editorial Reviews

Review
Warriors Into The Wild is the best book I've read in ages. It's really exciting and it's got lots of humour too! Even better than Brian Jaques' Redwall. I can't wait for the next one! John Wood (age 12)

About the Author
Erin Hunter is actually three people! She is experienced children's book writers Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry and Victoria Holmes who all live in the UK. Vicky comes up with the story ideas and makes sure the books stay consistent and Kate and Cherith take it in turns to write the books. They came up with the single name, Erin Hunter, to avoid confusing their readers by having books from the same series in different places on the bookshelf.

Customer Reviews

Wow!5
This is the best series I have ever read - and that includes even the wonderful Harry Potter. I have just finished Rising Storm, and I can't wait to recieve A Dangerous Path. I would give them INFINITY STARS if that was an option. I love the way that Erin Hunter writes, I feel like I am actuallty there with Thunderclan in the heart of the forest. I have always loved cats, especially wild cats, so these books are perfect. They have something for everyone - they are exciting, adventurous and imaginative but also it is how wild cats live. Buy these books or you will have missed out on the treat of a lifetime!

The best book in the world5
This book is the best book I have ever read in my entire life. I am 13 years old and I have read all the books in the series including the New Prophecy. I would recomend this book to anyone as it is so gripping and adventourous. As you read through the book you'll fall in love with the brave Firepaw, the determined Bluestar, the daring Graystripe and all the other adorable characters who all turn your world around.
Everyday I cant wait for bedtime as that is when I read the book. I asked myself how could this book be any better than the fantastic Harry Potter and Jaqeuline Wilson, but when I read this book my world turned upside down. Since then I have got both my 8 year old brother and mum into these books!! so please try and read this fantastic book and its sequels.

How lucky am I to have found this series!5
If ever a series of books deserved the 7-70 accolade then this is the one (mind you the 7 year old is a brilliant reader). Everyone in the household has read them. If you struggle to get connected with 'Into the Wild' then hang in there, before you know it you'll be racing through the pages. And these books just keep getting better and better. Be warned though - plenty of tissues are needed, not for saccharine sorrows but for full-blooded heartache. Absolutely superb.
