Editorial Reviews
Review
'Katy's brilliant at unravelling the bewildering, emotionally complicated reality of the situation, with laugh-out-loud humour and the kind of bitter-sweet sadness that made me wish I wearing tear proof mascara, and hope for the happiest of endings for Tess. Totally fab.' --Eithne Farry, Marie Claire

Customer Reviews
Should be familiar to readers of Marie Claire
Katy Regan is a journalist for Marie Claire who feel pregnant by her friend while she was writing a single girl column, which then turned into an ongoing column based on her experiences of semi-single motherhood.
This is her first novel and is inspired by her experiences, though clearly not autobiographical as the ending in particular reveals.
Regan is an engaging writer and the book is a very easy read, and one I can see me re-reading in the future. Her characters are, though all flawed in their own way (as all people are), ultimately likable and rounded, believable characters.
Some of the novel is based in an area of London that I live in, and was so accurately depicted I've been half expecting to bump into Regan. If she doesn't live here, she's certainly done her research.
I'll be looking out for her next novel.
Shocked by how good it was
I love this book, at pasts i wanted to cry and other occasions i laughed out loud even on the bus, making everyone stare, but i couldnt hold it in. i recommend this book to anyone who has ever liked someone deep down and taken a while to realise and for people who like a good book
one thing led to another
When I first started reading this book I did wonder why i choose it in the first place...didn't take long to realise it was a great buy, a lovely modern version of a good old fashioned love story.
