Sarah Stratford is a wedding planner hiding a rather inconvenient truth - she doesn't believe in love. Or not for herself, anyway. But as the confetti flutters away on the June breeze of yet another successful wedding she somehow finds herself agreeing to organise two more, on the same day and only two months away. Luckily Sarah has two tried and tested friends on hand to help her. Elsa, an accomplished dress designer who likes to keep a very low profile, and Bron, a multi-talented hairdresser who lives with her unreconstructed boyfriend and who'd like to go solo in more ways than one. As the big day draws near, all three women find that patience is definitely a virtue in the marriage game. And as all their working hours are spent preparing for the weddings of the year, they certainly haven't got any time to even think about love. Or have they?

Customer Reviews
Light 'n breezy
WEDDING SEASON IS THE perfect summer read, or perfect read for anytime of the year. I rank this right up there with THIS CHARMING MAN and THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. This is story of Sarah, Bron, and Elsa who seem to have the knack of pulling off the perfect weddings and organizing everything . . . but their own lives. The contrast between their Swiss-watch perfection in making other's dreams come true, and the funny events that ruin and run their own lives is refreshing and somehow real-life-like. The dialogue is great and the characters are three dimensional. What was the one thing I didn't like about WEDDING SEASON? I couldn't put it down.
Sad reader
I have been a fan of Katie Fford's from her earliest works 'The Rose Revived' and 'Stately Pursuits', but this one, like the last couple of her's, have made me decide I will not read any more. This one was trite, boring and so horribly predicatable - right from the beginning I knew what was going to happen to all 3 women - and the only reason I kept going was to prove myself right! It gave every indication of having been written to a formula by a once funny and clever writer who obviously feels she no longer needs to make an effort - her name alone will sell it. The dialogue was stilted and unbelieveable, the characters left me completely unmoved. Thank goodness for the library I say! At least I didn't buy it.
Another brilliant book from Katie Fforde
A wonderful story of 3 women who become friends because they all spend time making other people's wedding day perfect. The story revolves around Sarah, the wedding organiser, who doesn't want to believe in love. This has all the usual Katie Fforde wit and sense of humour, with 3 gorgeous heroes to fall in love with. So easy to lose yourself in the story - left me smiling all day.
