About the Author
Nick Hornby was born in 1957 and worked as a teacher before becoming a full-time writer. His books are FEVER PITCH (1992), HIGH FIDELITY (1995) and ABOUT A BOY (1998). In 1999 he won an E. M. Forster award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He lives in north London.

an emotional and excellent read!
Nick Hornby has created anexcellent novel in 'About a boy'you are unable to put it down it is a novel full of emotion it makes you laugh and cry and often at the same time!

Funny, intelligent and witty. Perfect for having some relax
"About a Boy" is an intelligent and very funny book. It is the perfect kind of reading for having some relax and enjoying one's own free time. Despite the subject of it might seem trivial, it provides indeed some interesting starting points for reflecting on some issues of our life, which often seem more troublesome of what they deserve to be. Definitely a very readable book, wit and full of gentle humor!

Absolutely Excellent
Nick Hornby has written this book so well, with subtle humour and great involvement. I became completely hooked on this book and have already lent it to numerous friends who have thought likewise. I would strongly recommend it and am looking forward to getting the book back from my friends so I can enjoy reading it for a second time!
