Product Description

New Year's Day, Inverness airport and a seasonal burst of highland snow grounds all flights. Lucy Blue finds herself agreeing to share her hire car and the drive back to London with a total stranger.

Their drive becomes a journey through a winter wonderland, a cocooned world inside a world. For just a few hours Lucy is separated from reality and finds herself thinking and behaving in a way she never would in normal life.

And then several weeks later, when life has almost re-established itself and Lucy tries to forget, an ad appears at her local tube station, a small red car at the top, and in bold lettering: Lucy Blue, where are you? . . .

Editorial Reviews

Cosmopolitan
'Totally addictive.'

From the Inside Flap
A deliciously funny and utterly compelling novel from the bestselling author of SIX REASONS TO STAY A VIRGIN.

Lucy Blue is not the sort of girl to pick up a stranger in a snowbound airport and she’s certainly not the sort to then leap into bed with him in a motorway motel . . . Yet this is a strange, once-in-a-lifetime day, and in any case nobody will know and they’ll never meet again.

But actions can catch up with you and secrets have a way of being told, and a spectacular gesture means that this time, Lucy just can’t walk away.

Praise for SIX REASONS TO STAY A VIRGIN

‘Refreshing, light-hearted and emotionally intelligent, Six Reasons says that it’s more than OK to stand apart from the crowd and follow your heart’.
The Times

Customer Reviews

A great Chick Lit read3
I'm a fan of Louise Harwoods books, I find them easy to read, light hearted and basically just a fun read - so I was keen to read this one, and I wasn't disappointed. She has not broken the chick lit code and this is as good as the other 2 she has written, I hasten to add that its also no better !!!
The main character Lucy Blue is stranded in a snow covered scottish airport and is desperate to get back to London, so she shares a lift with the typically good looking Jude and yes one thing leads to another - but the question is will they see each other again even with the helping hand of Judes brother Luke and posters in the London Underground ?
Its a perfect summer read sat on a beach or even your garden at home just don't expect too much depth!!

FANTASTIC!!!5
This book is absolutely fantastic. I couldn't put it down. This is the first Louise Harwood book I have read and it prompted me to by her others. Excellent plot, great characters and fantastic ending. I'll be looking out for more books by this author. Excellent read!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unputdownable5
I really enjoyed Louise H's previous books, Calling on Lilly and Six Reasons to Stay a Virgin. This new one is her best yet. And completely brilliant it is too. It's not only huge fun but also very moving when it comes to describing a family that has brushed with tragedy. Frothy? Not at all. An entertaining and satisfying read? Absolutely.
