Excellent - great intro to modern day vampirism!5
I've just finished reading this book again and enjoyed it just as much the second time around. This is not your traditional vampire tale but I would recommend it to any vampire fan. This book is very much a modern day erotic vampire story - not a pair of fangs in sight but blood drinking a plenty . The story line is very original and the characters are brought to life in such a way that you just have to know what happens to them next. The story centres around a happy band of blood-drinkers who's main goal in life is to drink blood, get high, have sex and drink more blood until do-gooders try to treat their addiction and convert them all into daylight worshipping good citizens. The book is full of vampires and witches galore and they are all led by the amazing character 'Whistler' who would be every womans and some mens dream vampire. I can't recommend this book strongly enough especially for those tired of the traditional bite on the neck/turn into a bat vampire stories - this book is both an original and refreshing change - read it!

Unusual take on the vampire theme5
This is an unusual book, in that it doesn't treat vampires as a separate race, or a hyper-developed form of humanity. The characters are weird, but believable and the plot is gripping. It's every bit as dark as you would expect from a vampire book, but with an interesting concept of an addiction recovery program underlying it all.
