Welcome to Chestnut Hill, a prestigious boarding school with a rich tradition of riding and rivalry. This year, four girls from different backgrounds will challenge the Chestnut Hill stereotype. There's fiesty Dylan; secretive Malory; tomboy Lani and Honey, the soft-spoken Brit. All are nervous about life as "new girls" - especially when queen bee Lynsey and her clique set out to make life difficult. But if this unlikely foursome can band together, they may prove themselves the true stars of Chestnut Hill.

Brilliant Book
I think that this book is a brilliant read for most age. I have just finished number 3 HEART OF GOLD and it was really good. I think that this series of books are the best books I have ever read. They are not just all about horses but about life at Chestnut Hill. Each turn into another charicter. In the first one you are Dylan ariving at the new school, in number two you are Malory and in number three you are Honey(Ferlicty). I am ordering number four and five soon. I am 10 and really enjoy reading these books.
Wow what a good book!!!
This is a great book for all horse enthusiasts! I love this book and would recomened any of this series to all 9-15 year olds. The plot is good and the level of detail is emense. Lauren Brooke is definetly a top equestrian writer!
Happy reading!
fantastic book
I really recommend this book, but buy the second one aswell, MAKING STRIDES, because you'll get very attached to the caracters since you can jump straight in to the story with the main character as she's in a new school. I personnally prefer this series to the heartland series, although both are very good.
