Product Description

A beautiful late autumn day, an innocent game of hide-and-seek . . . but when twelve-year-old Ronnie Swan emerges from her hiding-place, she finds the brutally murdered bodies of her two little sisters. Nearby, a complete stranger, covered in blood, sits sobbing on the family picnic table.

The killer, Scott Early, is schizophrenic. And although her parents somehow find the strength to forgive him, Ronnie cannot. Over the years, calmly, systematically, she plans her revenge. But as she closes in on Early, Ronnie will discover the true meaning of sin and compassion – and her decision will change her and her family’s lives for ever.

Customer Reviews

I can`t share the enthusiasm..1
I FOUND THIS BOOK VERY VERY EASY TO PUT DOWN. IT DRAWS YOU IN WITH THE TERRIBLE STORY OF TWO LITTLE GIRLS BRUTALLY KILLED - WHICH COVERS ALL OF TWO PAGES - AND ALL DOWNHILL FROM THERE. COME ON, IF WE WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT MORMONS WE WOULD BUY A BOOK ON THAT SUBJECT - THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT MURDER - A SLY WAY OF GETTING YOUR POINT ACROSS IF YOU ASK ME.
THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

Fabulous Read5
I got this book only because I enjoyed Deep End of The Ocean. This book did not dissappoint me, I thoroughly enjoyed it and read it in one sitting. Its well written and thought provoking. I enjoyed learning about the Mormon faith and find it quite insightful. I reccommend this book enormously especailly if you are a Jodi Picoult fan.

Detailed and Interesting4
This book pulled me in from page one with its gripping and detailed description of the lead up, and murder of Ronnie's little sisters. Right from the beginning the plot of carefully explained in ample detail, and at no point was I left wondering what was happening, or who was who. There are a small number of main characters, all of which are developed very well, and I felt towards Ronnie and her parents in very different ways. The story moved along quickly and smoothly, and I felt concluded very well. It wasn't a shock as to the ending, but the exact details were beautifully written and kept me interested right until the end. Overall Id recommend this book for any reader, and it only took me 4 days to get through as I was interested until the end.
