Customer Reviews
good
This book is good but if you have read book like this before then you won't find anything new it all says the same thing in the end. If you want something controversial and different I recommend `an essential guide for serious singers and musicians.' Why? It is rare for writers to be honest and frank about what really goes on inside the music industry and bold enough to speak out against it. It also points out that you can make it big time without the music industry and most books don't tell you this! I don't think that I can find any book anywhere that really starts from the fundamental leading to progressive knowledge of the inside workings of the music industry regarding its control and unfair monopoly over bands. Okay this book is good for loads of information but if falls short of what I think is required i.e. the fuller picture of the music world. This book you can also get on Amazon
Did you even read this book???
This book is not for anyone wanting comprehensive knowledge of the industry, it's written in quite a mickey-mouse way and is aimed at young teenagers looking for a pop career. If you need real guidance and advice don't get this book.
Ideal place to start!!!
This book is ideal for anyone interested in working in the music industry. It has a brief over view of all the areas you can branch into and then goes on to consisely describe the advantages and disadvantages of a given career. Also the book is quite amusing, which often helps. The book has loads of hardy tips and also contact information. This book is excellent and has given me the valuable direction i needed to persue my intended career.
