Customer Reviews
Brilliant
Unlike some, I never tire of James Patterson. Whilst I agree some of his novels are not at his usual exceptional high standard, Mary Mary certainly had me gripped. How can people say Alex Cross should be retired when he can star in a stunning story like this. His relationships seem to get more interesting to me, not the other way around. I had to get up at 5 one morning to finish this before I went to work, it is THAT good. I can't wait for the next instalment Mr Patterson............
Patterson is back on track!
The last two Alex Cross books were so disappointing that I almost did not even give this book a try. London Bridges was so poorly contrived and the pace so rapid with the short chapters it felt as if it had been written over a long weekend. Happily with Mary Mary Patterson is back on track! this book is well paced with all the unexpected twists and turns expected in an Alex Cross novel. Hooray! I dont normally recomend other books but you should check out the thriller hit "A Tourist in the Yucatan" WOW!
Good entertainment, very enjoyable
This is Patterson's latest and is maybe the best Alex Cross story yet. I was absorbed to the last page and the intriguing way the mystery is solved. Cross’s love interest does a lot to further develop his character, which I found refreshing. Mary Mary is well written with short (which could be disruptive to some readers), but focused chapters, and a must read. Also recommended: Bruce Huntly, Fusion (a new and highly recommended find showcasing sound science relevant to current technological and energy concerns); Dean Koontz: Forever Odd; Michael Crichton: State of Fear.
