Synopsis
Dumped by her fiance, stuck in a dead end job, and living at home with her parents - things certainly look grim for twenty-four-year-old Gracie Parker. But when Gracie lands a personal assistant's position, working for heart-throb actor Roman Pearson, her life takes a sudden turn for the better. Under Roman's guidance, Gracie finds herself thrown into a world of glamour, excitement and fame - a world in which nothing is quite as it seems. For behind the scenes, Roman's life is a mess, and Gracie finds herself having to pick up the pieces alongside Roman's loyal aide, Billy. But as Gracie and Billy grow closer, a familiar face reappears on the scene. Suddenly, Gracie finds herself overwhelmed with choices to make about love and life...

Customer Reviews

Amazing Gracie, first novel by Lisa Jane Weller.5
Read this in two evenings, not just because it is easy to read, but because it is an absorbing story and I wanted to know how it ended! I liked the fact that the end was not as predictable as some of this type of story. Despite being a first novel it is as well written as anything else you can read. The characterisation is realistic and there is probably someone a bit like a person you know lurking between the covers! If you want a an easy to read, humorous book to relax with, this is definitely a good buy. Looking forward to the next one!

We've all been there; or at least know some-one who has!5
I loved this book because the characters seemed so real, especially the heroine Gracie - she perfectly describes the pressure on twenty-something women to get the perfect man/flat/job, as well as the agony of crawling home to parents when it all goes wrong. I laughed out loud at the banter between Gracie and her brother and best friend; in fact there was a great deal of humour throughout this book. This is a perfect holiday read - in fact, I devoured it in a single day, so I expect a lot more great work from this author.

a fun read5
Really humorous, light-hearted book, and very romantic in that lovely "Pretty Woman" kind of way. Enjoyed the setting, and the way everything turned out and felt I knew Gracie and wanted to be one of her friends too. Hope we see some more books from this author. And the film of this one!
