Satan Burger is the international cult hit that has grown such an enormous following over the past 10 years that it not only launched the career of underground author Carlton Mellick III, but inspired an entire literary movement.
Absurd philosophies, dark surrealism, and the end of the human race . . .
God hates you. All of you. He closed the gates of Heaven and wants you to rot on Earth forever. Not only that, he is repossessing your souls and feeding them to a large vagina-shaped machine called the Walm--an interdimensional doorway that brings His New Children into the world. He loves these new children, but He doesn't love you. They are more interesting than you. They are beautiful, psychotic, magical, sex-crazed, and deadly. They are turning your cities into apocalyptic chaos, and there's nothing you can do about it ...
Featuring: a narrator who sees his body from a third-person perspective, a man whose flesh is dead but his body parts are alive and running amok, an overweight messiah, the personal life of the Grim Reaper, lots of classy sex and violence, and a motley group of squatter punks that team up with the devil to find their place in a world that doesn't want them anymore.

About the Author
Carlton Mellick III is one of the leading authors in the new
BIZARRO genre uprising. In only a few short years, his surreal
counterculture novels have drawn an international cult following despite
the fact that they have been shunned by most libraries and corporate
bookstores. Though frequently compared to David Lynch, Kurt Vonnegut, and
even Lloyd Kaufman, Carlton Mellick III is unlike anyone you've experienced
before. He sings for the band "Popes That Are Porn Stars" in Portland, OR.
Customer Reviews
Everything you've ever wanted and more
This book is for anyone who has an even remote interest in science fiction, fantasy, punk rock, religion, horror films, the apocalypse, the future, canned food, lint accumulation, or anything else at all. Carlton Mellick (rising cult author gaining praise as the best and most representative author of this generation) creates a world unlike any other in this novel full of dark humor, intriguing ideas, boundless creativity, and, of course, a fast food restaraunt run by the Prince of Lies himself. You may not have realized it, but you have wanted to read a book this good your entire life. And to top off the experience, Mellick always includes a personal introduction to his novels, which gives the reader a feeling for the man behind the magic, so to speak. If you would like to spend your time immersed in a book that not only expands your idea of what creative fiction can be, but is also thorougly enjoyable, then this book is for you.
Weird yes but so what?
This started as an interesting read and ended a bitter disappointment.Basically it screams " how weird am I?". Answer:A little but you can't tell a decent story.Sorry to burst the bizarro bubble but a strong narrative and decent characterisation will always sort the men from the boys.
Eat at Satan Burger!
An oddly assorted group of people living in a large house get a new tenant... Satan, who plans to open a restaurant. The fun starts here and never lets up. Heaven shuts down and the dead have no place to go. Plenty of great sex and violence, some great imagery, and a story line that gets stranger with every page. And I agree, the "Battlestar Galactica" original show had more than just a good theme song! Or did it?
This is one of Mellick's first books. It is well developed and very interesting. He has since written many more in a very short period, including "Punk Land," the sequel to this book.
