Synopsis
Is it possible to help yourself to happiness? Can you cosmically order the perfect life? Renowned life coach and radio presenter Megan Rowe certainly used to think so, she even wrote a best-selling book telling people how. But now, with the meltdown of her marriage unleashing all kinds of ghosts from the past, she is no longer sure. And if she is no longer able to 'live the dream' then how on earth can she advise other people? As Megan's carefully constructed house of affirmation cards begins to tumble it has an irrevocable effect on those around her. Cheddar Bailey, producer of her radio show and blogger extraordinaire, Natalie Taylor-Cassidy, aspiring young actress who will seemingly do anything for fame and Danny Nilsson, highly respected American war photographer harbouring a dark secret. Four very different characters searching for answers, seeking happiness and all hoping to 'find the plot' for the life stories they ought to be living. Siobhan Curham has woven together a heart-warming tale of hopes and fears whilst exploring our growing self help culture and eternal pursuit of happiness. Customer Reviews
A delightful read from start to finish
Really loved this book. One of those novels that you just can't put down. Insightful and very funny when dealing with modern day life and relationships in a way that we can all relate to. And it's set in a parts of London I know well. Has Siobhan been following me?
Brilliantly insightful
If you're a total sceptic when it comes to all this 'life coaching' clap trap, you will find this book a rollocking good read - witty, insightful and in every way delightful, 'Finding the Plot' is like finding yourself in a vivid movie surrounded by characters from your own life. So good you end up yelling at them one minute to try to get them to do the right thing and laughing out loud the next. Do yourself a favour and buy this book - some might find it life changing, the rest will find it hugely entertaining!
Finding The Plot
Siobhan can always be relied on to write an intriguing and thought provoking book. Finding the Plot is no exception - her best book yet. Her characters live. It suggests maybe we should take a fresh look at our own lives. Ian (London).
