Magic
I bought this book recently for my daughters and its so lovely, very simple, with beautiful illustrations, about Katie who is feeling a little grey and decides to paint herself in bright colours before magically entering the picture on her wall. Really good would reccommend.

Flyaway Katie
A magical story which my daughter adores. She retells the story, flicking from page to page. It is a simplistic, yet powerful story about the adventures of a little girl who is bored at home. I purchased it as we are going to The Lowry at the end of the month to watch a theatre performance of it. A simply beautiful and captivating fiction book!

My 12 month old loves it!
I have to admit to not enjoying this book (myself) as much as Polly Dunbar's 'Penguin' however my son would disagree. He can't wait to get to the page where Katie flys into to picture with the birds tweeting. He sits still through the whole book and flicks through it over and over again on his own. It is a lovely book, however I can't quite understand why it works for so well for my son - Polly Dunbar and the illustrator have got it right!
