close enough to kill
I have never hard of Beverly Barton before, i come across her book in the book shop and i started to read the first pape and i was hocked so i bought it, and i've not been able to put it down. I liked the fact that there was a bit of a love story in there but the best was all the red herrings and think that you know who the kiler was and then it changed all over again and you was back to square one which i love that about the book because it kept you guessing. I will most diffenly buy another of her books the only think that i find most hard is that i never no which one is the first book and which is the second
This is a must buy .
Couldn't put it down
This is the first Beverly Barton book I have read-I had never heard of her but someone I knew was reading it and I thought it sounded good so I gave it a go. I looked on Beverly Barton's website and saw that she writes books under the 'Silhouette' label-I thought 'oh no' because I thought these were similar to Mills and Boon. Luckily this didn't put me off because I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of her writing and I will definitely read another of her books. I have read all Richard Montanari's books and I would put it on a par with those-it's that good. The few days I was reading this book it kept me thinking who the suspects could be and it seemed obvious at one moment it was a certain person-next minute it couldn't be him then another red herring put me on yet another track, it really did keep me guessing. There is also a bit of a love story in the book and this provides a good balance to the gory scenes. I think this book was an excellent read and I enjoyed it immensely.
Great book !! A must for the Beverly Barton fan.
I have read a lot of Beverly Barton book over the years and I have enjoy all of them. But this book is very good and written very well but, a little slow for my taste.
The book is about a twisted serial killer called The Secret Admirer Killer who kidnapped young women and rapes and does things to them over a period of 11 to 14 days, then kills them and leaves there body posed on a dirt road. Jim Norton and local sheriff Bernie Granger tries to catch this sick killer.
