Entertaining portrait of "a most immoral woman"!
The legendary actress Tallulah Bankhead was a truly outrageous and wonderful person, though I doubt whether most of her co stars would agree! She had such a way with barbed cutting remarks and felt no shame in bearing not just her body but her soul also. When you consider the years in which Ms.Bankhead arrived on the entertainment scene, it is perhaps little wonder that so many people tried to shun her, she was flaunting her sexuality without any cause for concern, and also made no attempts to hide her displeasure or cynical view of the people around her. I personally found this book an absolute eye-opener from the very first pages and I would certainly recommend a reading, even to those who (like myself)do not know anything about her, or her morals on life. Tallulah told it as she saw it, with nothing held back. Riveting reading.
Positively enthralling
What a pleasure to read such an enlightening book. I started out just knowing that 'Tullulah Bankhead ' was a little known actress compared to the Hollywood greats and ended up regarding her as a larger than life character who was adored by many many people. The author has managed to adeptly merge the chronology of her life with extremely vibrant (and at times quite shocking)anecdotes. I was positively enthralled from beginning to end.
Fabulous Dahlings!!!
A rip roaring read!! This wild diva's life chronicled with humour and hilarity on every page. No time or text wasted on boring monologues about her motivations, Tallulah would've hated that. This extravagent book captures the reader and makes us love and admire Tallulah for who she was. The most quotable woman in history, her one liners are delivered here alongside her wild and wicked ways!! Unbeatable and impossible to put down.
