Stories are written by strong new talent. They are chosen for their literary merit as much as their erotic content - and most importantly - for their ability to turn women, as well as men, on. The themes in this collection range from "Ritual" a portrayal of illicit passion, through "Afraid of the Dark", a tale of strange erotic experiences in a darkened room with a very willing onlooker, to a raunchy threesome in trendy New York in "The Lecture", to a frank confession of sex in a crowded public bar in "Control". A heady blend of fantasy and reality bangs the drum for yet another twist in the development of the "Agent Provocateur" branded books keying in to the trend for memoirs of sexually license (following in the high-heeled footsteps of "The Story of O"; Anais Nin's short stories and "Belle De Jour: the Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl" (Weidenfeld).

About the Author
Joseph Corre and Serena Rees opened the first Agent Provocateur shop in December 1994, arousing a media frenzy usually reserved for superstars. The response was both exceptional and overwhelming! At the heart of Agent Provocateur philosophy is a profound belief in the intimacy of the experience that they offer. Rees and Corre introduced their vision of lingerie avoiding the British prudery that insists on categorising anything to do with sex as sleazy or smutty. The aim was to create an availability of high quality designer lingerie with creative flair to stimulate, enchant and arouse both wearers and their partners.
Customer Reviews
I confess--I loved it!
This collection of erotica was so good, I am going to read more from the minds of "Agent Provocateur"! The stories really kept me up at night and cranked my imagination to a whole new level!! I was supirsed at how much I enjoyed this volume and will be reading more like this soon!! I love good erotica and that's what this is--good. Another good erotica novel I would recommend is "Romantic Hedonism" (by Kelly Carr) in addition to this one. Good erotica is hard to find, but sometimes we get lucky!! Don't pass this up!!
A beautiful introduction
Having only really read one "erotic" novel before and not really been that impressed, this was an impulse buy on the grounds I couldn't afford anything else in the shop :)
Not really knowing what to expect (and Starbucks is not a good place to have a quick peek!) I was delighted with the book. Elegantly and intelligently written it was a joy to read, and the temptation to gorge on all of the stories was hard to resist. Most tastes are catered for, but in a way that even if you are not that way inclined you'll probably enjoy the story if not in such a personal way. Somehow they have also been written so that reading them out loud is not totally cringe worthy.
I thought a particularly nice touch was the design of the books - smart enough to sit on a bookshelf or bedside table without screaming "erotica" at the world. Somehow they have captured the spirit of AP, slightly daring, very sexy, very grown up and very elegant.
A little dis-appointed
I think I had over estimated this one after reading the reviews, and was a little dis-appointed to say the least, the stories didnt capture my imagination as previous material had, but its a good read never the less.
